Almost 2 months after having ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) surgery I cramped up really bad (or so I idea) in my thigh on the same leg. It was so hard and tight. I went to my physiotherapist thinking it was tight muscles from not stretching. They massaged, iced and gave me a stem treatment which did salve the tightness but not pain. Long story short, ii weeks later got ultrasound which showed deep vein thrombosis, clots from knee to groin area on the inner right thigh. It was a sharp pain going upwardly my leg, with lots of swelling.

A piffling tender to the bear on, no swelling, and no redness. Two podiatrists said it is normal to have hurting in the calf after a bad sprain. It was my full general physician who sent me for ultrasound STAT, which revealed 3 DVTs (deep vein thromboses) in my dogie.

I had a pulmonary embolism with no leg symptoms three years ago. Last week, I thought I'd pulled a muscle, then my calf started to swell. I have a deep vein thrombosis and was started on Xarelto starter pack for thirty days. The pain is in the back of my human knee and travels up the dorsum of my thigh and sometimes downwards to my foot. It's definitely worse with exertion. I read somewhere that'southward it's probably less about the clot (the pain) and more about the poor blood flow in that vein.

My deep vein thrombosis (DVT) was in the arch of my foot, bottom of foot, and I was told this is very unusual. I was getting muscle cramps in my calf and foot for some time prior to the clot. Then my calf began to ache, I idea it was due to the musculus cramps. When the bottom of my human foot began to feel like I was walking on a golf ball a few days later I became concerned about a blood clot and went to the emergency room where my suspicions were confirmed. I was immediately put on blood thinners and advised to see my doctor.

I experienced swelling in my leg, a very heavy feeling and extreme pain that seemed to move up the dorsum of my leg every few days until the day I was hospitalized for deep vein thrombosis (DVT). I stood up from my desk, and the excruciating hurting I had backside my knee shot to my groin, my leg instantly went stark white, and the new pain was like the worst toothache always times one million. And and then my leg rapidly swelled from hip to toe. My outset DVT was at 24 years of age. I spent nineteen days in the infirmary. About 2 weeks after my discharge, my medico's office called and asked that I come in right away. His diagnosis was that I had a very rare blood clotting disorder. Essentially, I am the opposite of a hemophiliac, that is, a free bleeder. My blood, through genetics, is the consistency of pancake syrup. I was told I could never again get meaning. I was told I would take to take Coumadin and habiliment custom pinch stockings for the residuum of my life. That was 24 years agone. Today, I am 48 years old, and I have had half dozen clots (all in the same leg) and two pulmonary embolisms. My last two clots were just months apart. The aggregate harm has damaged my femoral and neat saphenous vein valves leaving me with chronic deep venous insufficiency and venous hypertension. I was forced to retire nether these circumstances. At present, I utilize a lymphedema pump to recirculate the claret in my leg to be re-oxygenated. I am in abiding pain and various stages of swelling. The merely exercise I get is in the pool. I have recently discovered that a new non-silicone prosthetic vein valve is going through animal testing, and human being trials should be coming up in the next year or two. I have already signed up. If replacing my broken valves does not work, I will take my left leg amputated about mid-thigh. This is the only mode to restore my quality of life.

The primary symptom of a blood jell, for me, is that it will experience equally if the leg with a clot has run a marathon, even later on walking just a short distance, while the other leg feels fine. I've never experienced whatever of the other classic symptoms, such as redness or pain in the area of the clot.

My experience with deep vein thrombosis began with a human foot and ankle injury. My ankle, my foot and the bottom half of my leg swelled every day. My toes went purple, my pes went ice cold, numb and had a called-for sensation. Cramping in my leg and a constant deep pain was as well present. I was on T3s which helped a little, but the side effects similar having a problem going to the bathroom was a big effect. A gentle overnight Ex-Lax solved that problem. Subsequently it was discovered, and I'yard talking three weeks, that I had a huge clot in the main avenue in the groin of my correct leg. I am now on warfarin for the next 6 months to prevent any more than clots forming. If yous have problems walking long distances with cramping, called-for and pain in your legs, I urge you to seek medical aid. Chances are yous have a jell or decreased circulation to your legs. Clots can suspension free if untreated, travel to your lungs or middle and kill you. Don't fail or dismiss the warning signs. Your body is trying to tell you something is non right.

In one case upon a time, I was going to schoolhouse like normal equally always, and of a sudden I started having problems walking, breathing, etc. This was in a large time span of nigh a week, and it got to the point where we went to the emergency room. After X-rays and ultrasounds, the md came in and said "nosotros found DVTs in his legs, and we are flying him to Johns Hopkins". I said, "I don't have time for this, I am only 13 years old this tin't exist happening!" I have spent my Easter as well every bit a good 2 months in the hospital equally they were trying to put me on warfarin. This is caused because I have gene V leiden, and an absent-minded IVC. Is it possible to consume more protein C and S with factor V? I wonder, once more I am only 13 years old and this is only for like 60 year olds. I understand how rare this is, about impossible.

I experienced leg pain and swelling around my left knee which I ignored for several days. I than experienced groin pain and my pes became very cold. And along with the swelling I had tenderness and redness of the leg. this was all in a affair of one week. I panicked went straight to ER and was examined by two physician's, had a doppler done on the leg, ii clots were found, i in the groin area and ane smaller 1 behind my human knee, I was then immediately hooked upward to IV heperin and was told I was not too get out of bed for the fear of the moving. One jell was found in the groin area and because of the large size of it, information technology had actually blocked a valve in the groin surface area that resulted in the the blockage of menstruum of blood thru my leg. they adamant that the smaller clot behind my human knee had cleaved from the larger i that was in the groin area. I spent almost 2 weeks laid up in the infirmary with an 4 blood thinner. I had to be scanned/x rayed from head to toe before I could exist released from hospital. This was 5 years ago, I notwithstanding depend on pinch stockings to help with swelling and discomfort of the leg and I as well take a depression dose of aspirin daily.

I am a 50-year-quondam woman and have had 4 episodes of deep vein thrombosis. The first one occurred after my third childbirth. Each time the site is my right leg, probably damaged during the first clot. At that place is no known gene identified, and I take been on warfarin therapy since the third episode. The start three episodes were accompanied by the usual swelling, heat, discoloration of the leg before I was diagnosed with DVT. But this terminal time, the jell was caught very early, before the vein was blocked completely. I take noticed that I know something is wrong with circulation in my leg manner before these more than obvious symptoms begin. These include a feeling of tiredness in the leg, peculiarly when showtime practice, merely then feeling better equally exercise increases the apportionment. The veins in my foot and ankle stand out more. There is a mild but constant internal ache in the leg and an odd "plugged" feeling. Sometimes the vein really feels irritated to me, and maybe more full to the touch. My affected leg is always slightly larger, and slightly a different color than the other, due to poorer circulation, only the colour begins to modify subtly darker, and it also feels colder than the other foot when this problem is start. My right foot will often experience tingly when I commencement stand on it in the morning, in spite of exercising human foot and talocrural joint before getting upwards. I sometimes have a hard time convincing my physician that I tin can feel when things are happening inside the vein, but with experience, I am clearer and clearer that I can. He sent me for an ultrasound of my leg this time, even though he said he did not suspect a jell. The ultrasound showed a "web" or strings of jell just first to form. My infirmary fourth dimension and rehab has been much quicker.

I've been hurting from sciatica for about 4 months now and I noticed that my correct leg that's in pain is getting thinner than the other one. I am worried if I have deep vein thrombosis.

At night it feels similar my bed is rippling at the bottom left side to right side or it feels similar something is walking across the bottom of my bed. When it beginning happened I thought maybe my modest domestic dog had passed. Was walking on my bed sometimes is stronger than others. It wakes me upwards and I tin still experience information technology when I'm awake. When I had my varicose veins done, I tried to talk to the doc but he acted similar I am basics. This is driving me nuts.

My left leg was swollen for about ii years and several doctors - ii orthopedic and three MDs - told me information technology was "fluid" and just one suggested any remedy and that was Dyazide. I had knee surgery terminal wintertime in FL and a total human knee replacement on the left leg in Baronial 2009 in MI. Six weeks of therapy and I could barely elevator my left leg off the flooring and I struggled to get upwards and out of a chair. I thought it just took more than time for a full recovery. In November my regular Medico was out of the office at the time of my routine lab work so I saw an acquaintance. She immediately noticed my swollen leg and sent me to imaging for a Doppler. I went from there to the hospital with iv DVT'S in the groin surface area. Very extensive as my physician said. Why did no other doctor propose a Doppler? I never surmised blood clots when I had terrible "charley horses" in the dorsum of my leg, the swelling, or the warmth. I remember we have to be our own doctor!! Thank God that my regular doc was gone and I had one who ordered the Doppler. I am now on Coumadin for half-dozen months and can lift my leg "knee high", and get out of a chair with no problem!

I would like to warn people out there of the danger of DVT. I lost my husband 11 years ago, because a doctor told my husband, he had a spot of pneumonia in his left lung and to take information technology easy for a couple of days. On his way to the doctor, he stopped at Walmart to get cough syrup, and passed out in the store. He was rushed to the emergency room and DIED within one hour. He was only 43 years onetime at the fourth dimension. Later on the autopsy, a blood jell was found to have broken loose from his left leg and that was the SPOT the dr. had seen 2 days before.

I had surgery on my right foot. I had to visit my doctor once per week subsequently that, and I had to clothing an orthopedic boot and crutches. Two weeks later, my medico suggested to let go of the crutches, and I did, I started walking merely with my boot, and the twenty-four hour period before my tertiary visit to the md, equally I went to become out of bed in the morning, I put on my kicking and every bit I step on my pes to start walking, I felt this sharp pain shooting from my heel upwards to the back of my knee. It actually hurt, but I thought information technology was just sore because I only started walking without my crutches, then I went alee and managed to get out of bed and start walking - with my crutches again, to ease the pain. When I saw my medico the adjacent mean solar day, I mentioned this to him and he checked my leg. It wasn't even swollen; it was just sore, from my heel to the back of my knee. The doc saw the possibility of a clot and sent me correct abroad to the emergency room to have an ultrasound, which ended upward revealing a blood clot on my leg.

For me, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) manifested itself as pain on the inside of the leg, just below the knee. The pain also travels upward, something like halfway upwards the thigh. At that place is also very uncomfortable throbbing at times.

I awoke in the middle of the night with blinding pain in my left hip which radiated down my leg. When I got out of bed to go to the restroom, the muscles in my calf contracted then hard that I could not extend my leg out in front of me to walk and near fell downwardly. The pain was excruciating! Being a healthy person, I assumed information technology was some sort of temporary fluke thing and would subside by morn. But, upon enkindling, my entire leg from hip to toe had blown upwardly more than five times its normal size. Still thinking information technology was a fluke, I elevated information technology and waited for the swelling to get down. Luckily, my mother visited and insisted I go to the doctor. The kickoff medico did not affect me at all - diagnosed information technology as DVT - and sent me on to the emergency room.

I had severe leg pain, and my foot went numb. I did not have pain in the surface area where the clot was found. I went to the ER because I knew something was wrong, but never thought blood jell!

I have arthritis in my joints. One solar day my right knee started pain really badly backside the knee and I thought it was just my knee acting upwards because of the change in the conditions. So I went and spent about $60.00 on patches, and braces for my knee joint. In spite of all my efforts to get some relief, it seemed to go worse, as days went past it eventually got to where I couldn't walk on it at all. That was when I decided to go to the doctor. They drew my claret and said that some of my levels were high. So and then they did a Doppler ultrasound of my whole right leg and plant that all three main veins in my leg were clotted. Then they did a CT scan of my lungs and found that I had both lungs with embolisms in them. They had me transferred to a larger infirmary to an intensive care unit (ICU). I was there for two days and and so they found out that my insurance wouldn't embrace a hospital stay and I was sent home not knowing if I was going to be OK or not. Now I have to give myself shots everyday and pray for the best. That is my personal experience with my DVT AND PULMINARY EMBOLISMS.

I had surgery on my ankle. Afterwards surgery I had a astringent bruise 3" above the incision that wrapped around the calf musculus. When I came out of surgery the ankle didn't hurt - information technology was my calf musculus that was extremely painful - it was so bad that they gave me a block for the pain. The hurting subsided. About two weeks later, I had recurring severe hurting in my dogie when I would use my crutches (yet was not begetting weight on that leg). My pes would turn pinkish/purple when it was not elevated (they said that was 'normal'). I started physical therapy and the hurting increased so I actually thought the pain was due to 'over doing it' in physical therapy (it was similar a bad muscle cramp that would come up and go). Other than that, I HAD NO OTHER 'USUAL' or 'COMMON' SYMPTOMS. A friend of mine told me to not accept chances and then I called my surgeon and suggested that this pain was quite severe for a muscle balk.....after the scans, they discovered that I had one clot at the base of my dogie and one clot behind the knee. I was hospitalized and am undergoing handling at home. Exercise Non Wait - if you have the slightest of symptoms, get tested TODAY. I was told that most people do not have the "usual" or "common" symptoms. I was also told that this was uncommon for my age and action level.... don't have 'no' for an reply. I thought it was a unproblematic leg cramp and was proven wrong. I'1000 glad I had it checked out and caught it when I did.

I'g 25 and have had DVT in both legs the symptoms were massive swelling to the leg mostly below the articulatio genus, my leg not bad so much the skin started to flake and was very brittle requiring lots of ointment to proceed it from splitting. Around the same time the swelling started I was met with very intense pain from deep within my leg that fifty-fifty the strongest painkillers failed to have an effect. I am not exaggerating when I say it's the well-nigh painful experience in my life. I've broken my wrist and forearm, toothache and migraines don't come close and it took almost half-dozen weeks of Fragmin injections then onto oral anticoagulants earlier it started to get better. And so 9 months later on it all started in the other leg. I was in infirmary for 2 weeks every bit the swelling was so severe.

I am 23 years former, my case is rare because my first blood clot was at 18 years old. I felt tingling and swelling in my leg for a couple of days I didn't know what it was until when I was short of breath. I panicked and went to the ER. There was a clot in my leg and information technology traveled to my lungs they hooked me up to heparin for 2 weeks in the hospital until my PTT levels were back to normal. When I became pregnant in 2008 I was placed on Lovenox for that pregnancy and nothing thereafter. My latest episode landed me in the infirmary this week. I felt pain in the aforementioned leg that the blood jell was in originally and when I got to the infirmary surely there was a clot. I only stayed for one day and I am at present released on Lovenox for the rest of my life.

I woke upward with a very difficult, warm, bloated dogie simply no pain. I went to work, then to a family doctor later on 4-5 hours working, which is my normal day as I am semi- retired. And then my medico sent me to get a sonogram on my leg and was found to accept a large deep blood jell, for which they immediately admitted me for iv days, using Heparin, then Warfarin and was sent home and could practice whatever I felt like doing. It's now vii months later and I withal have an improved clot and I am still on warfarin, and I am withal working also. An IVC filter is probably adjacent in a few days to go on any jell from going to my lungs or eye. Hope this helps someone.

I pulled my calf musculus playing basketball. I went to the ER, had an ten-ray. I was told no broken basic and to go along activities as normal. Two weeks subsequently I had the same pain, difficulty walking and sleeping. My family unit doctor told me to elevate and rest. I decided to become back to the ER and am glad I did considering I had a blood clot. They immediately started me on medication to thin the blood. I am glad I did non ignore my instincts.
